I am presently receiving a PhD scholarship awarded by INESC-ID Lisboa.
Planning:
Goals
- To receive a PhD certification in the time period of 4 years since it's beginning (March 2008)
Project Deliverables
- Written PhD thesis
- Conclude the 5 courses
- Publish some articles (around 3 to 7)
Project Schedule
- First year: Finish at least 4 courses and have a published article.
- Second year: Completion of the state of the art and formulation of the hypothesis.
- Third and fourth year: Do the real work, the tests and the written thesis.
Risks
- To stop receiving a PhD scholarship.
- To lose time while doing other things (like teaching).
Review:
2008/2009 - First Semester (March to July 2008)
- Completed only one course, NSAM, with the classification of 16 values out of 20.
- Read a lot of articles and worked on the article to present at the advanced topics course. Most of my time in this semester was reading articles.
- Completed a Japanese Language course (it was funny!!).
- Did a lot of sports (tennis and football)
2008/2009 - Second Semester (August 2008 to February 2009)
- Completed CON (16 of 20 values)
- Completed DFT (17 of 20 values)
- Teached SD labs
2009/2010 - Third Semester (March 2009 to July 2009)
- Started attending lessons of DSSP
- Started to Organize CRC2009
- Went to Santander
- Went to Cape Verde (MIA-VITA)
- Completely changed the subject of the PHD thesis
- Presented article at CONFTELE2009
2009/2010 - Forth Semester (August 2009 to February 2010)

- First drafts of the routing protocol

- Went to Torino Summer School
- Teached SD labs
2010/2011 - Fith Semester (March 2010 to July 2010)
